BAKED ASPARAGUS Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut fibrous end of asparagus, peel any necessary parts, wash Lay length of aluminum foil on baking pan/sheet - make certain the foil is twice as long as the pan. Lay the asparagus in pan, making certain that the asparagus are not thicker than 2-3 spears high. Dot asparagus with butter - season to taste with salt (add garlic to taste and sprinkle of lemon juice, if desired). Fold extra length of foil over, twist and fold where necessary so that the foil makes a sealed pouch. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve hot or cold. Printable version: baked-asparagus.txt.
