Garlic Mashed Potatoes 22 cloves of garlic 2 lbs red new potatoes, cut in 1" pieces (not peeled) 1 c whole milk 1 1/3 sticks (3/4 c) unsalted butter salt & pepper Blanch 16 cloves galic in boiling water 3 separate times, 1 min. each time; set aside; mince remaining cloves. Cover potatoes w/water in lg saucepan; heat to boil; cook over med heat til tender about 12 mins; drain well. Add milk, butter and all garliv to potatoes. Mash to desired consistency.
